Jeff Gin

I draw inspiration from many aspects of the visual world, from the natural to man-made. Every idea can be expressed in many different ways with various accents and expressions.  My interests range from production design and motion graphics to traditional drawing and animation.  These pursuits have provided me with diverse knowledge and skillset.  My experience as a production designer has challenged me to expand my thought processes by solving visual and technical challenges.  I enjoy helping people become familiar with the technical nuances of production.  Every day, I get to explore various ways to create efficiencies for production projects.

So what’s the reason for the website’s name?  There was a term coined as ‘pencil mileage’ in my animation class.  The purpose was to draw as much as you can per day. You must practice, practice, practice in order to become better.  It made sense to name the website as ‘pixel mileage’ because I am a lifelong learner for improving my skills in the visual and production world.
